History of Vegas

The Start

Vegas OOO is the first producer of orthopedic mattresses in Belarus. The company was founded in 1997 in Brest free economic zone. From the very start, Vegas has staked on production of mattresses from high-quality materials and components by leading Western suppliers under its own trademark. A number of well-known European manufacturers — Agro (Germany, spring units), Artilat (Belgium, latex) — have become reliable partners of Vegas from the early years of its work. Orthopedic mattresses with independent springs, mattresses with Bonnell-like dependent springs, as well as springless mattresses and natural latex pillows were the staples of the product range. Belarus and Russia became the major markets for distribution of Vegas’s products at this initial stage.

Recognition

Vegas received the first award for quality of its products at the Furniture 2001 international exhibition in Minsk in 2001. And that was only the start: in the years to follow the company was regularly awarded with prestigious prizes and was the laureate of many exhibitions and contests. Here are just a few of them: "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" (2003, 2004, 2005, 2008), "Choice of the Year" (2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), Award of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for Achievement in Quality (2006, 2009, 2014).

New Vistas

In 2006, the company reached a new stage in development: it moved to new production facilities of 10,000 m² in area, upgraded its sewing and quilting equipment, and installed modern material cutting machines — which allowed taking the production to a whole new level. New packing equipment made it possible to compress and to roll some types of mattresses. This made their transportation much easier and let Vegas reduce shipping costs.

High expert appraisal and growing customer interest have stimulated Vegas's entry into new markets. The company made its first product deliveries to Ukraine in 2004 and to Moldova in 2005. In 2007, representative offices in Kazakhstan and Slovakia were established. A year after, at the MODDOM international forum in Bratislava, Vegas trademark was awarded with a prestigious prize for use of innovative technologies and materials. The company began working in the Czech Republic and Hungary in 2009 and in Lithuania in 2011.

Success and recognition in the international market have spurred a major expansion of the product range. In 2009, Vegas launched the production of orthopedic bases and a line of children’s mattresses, Vegas Kids. In 2010, innovative ideas and technologies were used to begin the production of springless mattresses from synthetic materials. The year of 2011 marked the beginning of Vegas Home, a series of sleep accessories that included protective and modifying mattress pads, bedding and quilts. In 2012 the company began selling the Vegas Hotel line of sleep systems and accessories intended for furnishing hotels.
